This item is a 4″ diameter round plastic form that was designed by Kristine Beck and then created by a third party using a 3D Printer. This item is comfortable to use with no sharp edges except the cutting edge, which is tapered to give a clean cut every time. It is made with Biodegradable PLA, which is a plastic material that is “Generally Recognized as Safe” (GRAS) when used in contact with food.  Please do your own research regarding this material if you have any concerns. Kinstone and Kristine Beck make no claims regarding the safety of these items when used in any way and especially when used in contact with food.

DISCLAIMER: These are 3D-printed cutters printed from PLA, a plant-based plastic, which in its pure form is generally considered food safe.  Please do your own research on the material and decide for yourself if it is safe for use with food. Note that due to various dyes and other additives the material can be toxic. Also, all 3D-printed objects have tiny ridges on the surface and the possibility of tiny pores where the plastic doesn’t fuse completely. 3D printers are carefully engineered to minimize these issues, but these characteristics are inherent to all 3D-printed objects and there is no way to eliminate them. Due to these micro-ridges and pores there is no way to guarantee that you’ll be able to clean and sanitize any 3D-printed object sufficiently to meet FDA requirements for a multi-use, food-safe utensil. Please be aware that if you decide to use and/or reuse any 3D-printed utensil for any use, especially for any edible products you do so at your own risk.
